Alumni Rec. Card

Recreational Services at the University of New Mexico offers a Rec Card to Alumni for access to Johnson Center. The center contains a weight/Cardio room, Olympic pool, Therapy pool, racquetball courts and several basketball courts. Below are the procedures and what your Rec Card is limited too.  

VERIFICATION

  • Contact the Alumni Relations office to obtain an Alumni verification 277-5808

PRICE

  • $25.00 per month.
  • May purchase up to 1 year of access.

*Note: Starting on July 1, 2012 a new Rec Card policy will take effect. A one time $10.00 charge will be applied for all new Rec Card memberships. Renewal memberships will not have to pay this $10.00 charge unless they have not renewed their membership over a 3 semester period.

SPONSOR (Spouse, Dependent, and/or Domestic Partner)

Spouse, Dependent and/or Domestic Partner of an Alumnus may purchase a Rec. Card for the same amount of time as the sponsoring Alumnus.

For a spouse to obtain a Rec Card a marriage certificate and a photo ID are required.

The dependent of Alumnus must be between the ages of 18 -25 and have proof of residency and age to obtain a Rec Card.

For a domestic partner of a verified Alumnus to obtain a Rec Card an affidavit and photo ID are required. Domestic Partner - must complete affidavit of domestic partnership from the Alumni Relations office. For domestic partner forms and affidavit click here.

Alumnus with a Rec Card can also sponsor a Guest for  $10.00.

PROCEDURE

  1. Both parties must be present when applying for the Rec Card. Bring your proof of marriage or affidavit and photo ID to Recreational Services, Johnson Center Room 1102, 277-0178.
  2. After signing up, in 4 days you go to the Lobo Card office to have your ID made. You can call to see if they are ready to badge you earlier than 4 days. 277-9970.
**Rec Card is only valid for use of facilities.  Access to fitness classes or other programs are fee based.  Some programs and classes are only available to current UNM student, faculty and staff
